'The Resurrection Of Jake The Snake' Coming To Netflix In June

The true story of a wrestling miracle is hitting the streaming world.

Jake The Snake Roberts

Long considered one of the most incredible minds in the history of professional wrestling, Jake 'The Snake' Roberts' issues when it comes to addiction have been well-documented to say the least.

A man who once seemed on the edge of the abyss, Roberts somehow pulled away from the brink and lived to tell his story, thanks to the messiah-like enthusiasm of Diamond Dallas Page.

A film about Jake and his revival was released back in 2015, titled 'The Resurrection of Jake The Snake', and now it's finally coming to the streaming service Netflix on June 1st.

Most of Jake's post-WWF appearances on film have been less than glowing in their depiction of the man, so getting a chance to see his difficult road to sobriety will be great to say the least for his legions of fans.

Of course, this isn't to say that all is said and done regarding Jake Roberts and problems, as one is never truly free of those most tangled of woods. Still, the film will provide a chance to watch with hope, the importance of which should go without saying.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
