The Rock Drops MAJOR WWE WrestleMania 40 Hint On SmackDown

Did The Rock know exactly what he was doing here, or was it a WWE coincidence?

The Rock appeared to formally join The Bloodline on Friday's episode of SmackDown, but WWE's newest heel sensation made sure to sneak a little bit of doubt into his Salt Lake-bashing promo.

Those listening and watching very carefully during the segment might've spotted that Rocky pointed towards Roman Reigns when he promised to "make you lose" at WrestleMania 40. He was talking about Cody Rhodes, but the finger point and stare is rather interesting.

If nothing else, it already has some folks chatting on social media about The Rock potentially costing Roman his Undisputed Title in Philadelphia. Was he talking about Cody after all? Or, does 'The Great One' have grander plans in mind? Could he actually sabotage Reigns?!

Don't rule it out.

Generally, Rock's heel promo was yet more proof that he's one of the best in that role. Fans haven't seen this side of his character since 2003, so it feels refreshing. It definitely wouldn't take much for ol' Dwayne to swing back towards the babyface side though.

Making sure Rhodes gets to "finish his story" at 'Mania just to stick it to Roman would signal the cheers again, for example.
