The Rock Makes HUGE WrestleMania 40 Challenge On WWE SmackDown

WWE's night one main event for WrestleMania 40 is all-but-set post-SmackDown.

The Rock challenged Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins to meet Roman Reigns and himself in a massive tag-team main event on night one at WrestleMania 40 during a fiery SmackDown promo...but there are certain stipulations.

'The Great One' said he and the rest of The Bloodline members would be banned from ringside if Cody and Seth win. However, should they lose, then Rhodes' match vs. Reigns would be turned into a "Bloodline Rules" bout. Basically, anything goes and the faction (including Rocky) would be able to interfere whenever they pleased.

Somewhat remarkably given recent developments, The Rock then freely acknowledged Roman as his 'Tribal Chief' before the segment ended. It looks like WWE is happy to book heel Rock alongside Reigns, at least for now.

There's bound to be huge interest in what Cody and Seth have to say in response. Obviously, there's little chance they knock back the proposal now it's out there on TV - that'd be surprising, because WWE all-but-confirmed the match on Friday's episode.

Numerous fans and industry critics alike had predicted the tag ahead of time following events at WWE's 'Mania 40 presser in Las Vegas.
