The 2012 match is widely regarded as one of the best matches of this decade, and it was awarded the match of the year in WWE's annual Slammy Awards. It proves that an epic cell match can still be done to an excellent standard in the PG era, and it bodes well for Undertaker's upcoming cell bout with Brock Lesnar. Taker and Hunter tore strips off each other that night, working a stiff style that left both men bruised. Undertaker earned the victory with a tombstone piledriver, and then in a symbolic moment, posed with Triple H and Shawn Michaels at the top of the stage. The significance was the "end of an era."
