21. Vs. Jimmy Snuka - WrestleMania VII

From offensive to entirely inoffensive, Jimmy Snuka was the first soul for whom the Undertaker dug a hole - and the beginning of the Streak was inauspicious in the extreme.

It was little more than a protracted squash, the likes of which were frequent in WrestleMania's early years. WWE is a petty and often remorseless organisation, but it has always shoehorned its acts onto the grandest stage in order to grant them a payday on the grandest stage. In modern times, that involves Mojo Rawley's swift ejection from the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Back in 1991, it involved The Mountie squashing Tito Santana in 1:21.

This was no different, and acted as a showcase for the Undertaker - and the Undertaker conveyed his character well enough within it. He stared a hole through Snuka after the opening bell before dissecting him in a methodical, one-sided match which, despite its brevity, is still firmly deserving of Jim Ross' trademark euphemism.

There were glimpses of the legendary worker 'Taker became - he managed considerable height on a running elbow drop - but despite one fairly massive bump on Snuka's part, it was entirely forgettable.
