There was once a time when it was damn near impossible to rewatch The Undertaker's third title victory because it took place at the most infamous WWE event of all time, Over The Edge 1999 - an event forever associated with the tragic death of Owen Hart.

Winning the WWE Championship from Stone Cold Steve Austin - thanks to a fast-count from special guest-referee Shane McMahon - 'The Phenom' kick-started a title reign in the summer of 1999 that, in hindsight, certainly felt very unlike his other offerings.

Smack bang in the midst of his Ministry of Darkness period, 'Taker's mic skills may have been on fire, but his in-ring action wasn't his finest and this all-too brief reign never really got the chance to break out before it was over. Though he did defend it in a highly underrated, overbooked classic against The Rock at that year's King of The Ring, dropping it to Austin again so soon just undercut everything he accomplished in that month as champion.
