The Viking Raiders Returning To WWE NXT?

Erik and Ivar could be on their way back to the black and gold brand.

The Viking Raiders competed in an eight-team gauntlet match for Raw Tag Team Championship contendership on last night's flagship, besting The B-Team with great ease in the first fall, before they and The OC were disqualified when the officials lost control of the bout in the second.

It was a slight change from recent weeks, with Erik and Ivar embarking on a long but ultimately directionless jobber-squashing spree on Raw. Now, it looks like they might be headed back from whence they came.

A promo uploaded to WWE's YouTube channel after Raw has sparked online speculation:-

In it, an enraged set of Raiders address WWE's other duos, claiming "we're gonna take out every single team we can find. [We] don't care if it's Raw, SmackDown, or NXT: no one's safe."

The Viking Raiders have suffered since leaving NXT following their star-making victory over Ricochet and Aleister Black at TakeOver: New York in April. They've been dominant, but have faced little in the way of name opposition and murdering constant streams of jobbers hasn't led them to a more substantial storyline.

They'd almost certainly be better off back in NXT, though this would be a damning indictment of WWE's broken call-up system.
