2008's rivalry between Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels is timeless. Not only was it one of the greatest stories of the year that led to countless stunning matches, but it also helped define Shawn's second full-time stint as an active wrestler. Jericho had to be proud of that fact. Both men locked horns on several pay-per-views and on weekly TV in promo skits as 'Y2J' badmouthed the guy he'd once considered a teen idol growing up.

Seeking resolution, both met in a frosty promo segment at SummerSlam. Shawn brought his wife Rebecca along with him for moral support, but she'd end up getting involved in the action. Jericho went to punch Michaels, who ducked, then accidentally clocked Rebecca right in the face.

Like, he literally socked her one. For real.

That wasn't in the script, obviously. Jericho forgot to pull his punch or misjudged the distance. Either that or Rebecca failed to whip her head back in time so she wouldn't eat a fist to the chops as a shoot. Shawn was understandably incensed by this, and Chris thought for sure he was going to get into a fist fight with his former hero once he went back through the curtain.

The famous foes didn't come to shoot blows behind the curtain, but Michaels made sure to warn an apologetic Jericho to be more careful with his hands in the future. For his part, 'Y2J' said sorry over and over again to Rebecca. She'd previously been involved in wrestling as a Nitro Girl over in WCW, but had never really taken many planned bumps until this point.

It was a nasty surprise for her when Jericho's fist connected. Ouch. Great segment, at least!
