3. Match Of The Night: Triple H Vs. Seth Rollins

It feels like something of a betrayal writing this. In advance of the show, I predicted Seth and Trip's showdown would be a protracted snooze-fest in a very similar mould to The Game's previous WrestleMania efforts, and even suggested Mr. Helmsley might claim the victory on account of the injured knee angle.

When did us wrestling analysts become so cynical?

As it transpired, I was half-right; the match was long (indeed, the longest on the show). But it was far from boring. OK, admittedly, the opening ten minutes or so seemed a bit laboured, but in the context of the match's story, it made perfect sense, as Triple H methodically worked over Rollin's knee in anticipation of his eventual gutsy comeback.

And the closing stormed barns, as they say. What wasn't to like? A scintillating series of Pedigree reversals, teased sledgehammer blows narrowly avoided, and Stephanie McMahon going through a table. The match did everything to create the sort of tension lacking elsewhere on the night, and in the end - only just - the right man won. Sterling work.

Runner-up: Brock Lesnar vs. Bill Goldberg

Everything it needed to be: decisive, dramatic, and crucially, short.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
