In an Instagram story, the Young Bucks have teased a "huge" announcement to be revealed today on Being The Elite.

To temper expectations somewhat, AEW's record of announcements has been...mixed. Expectation management is one of the company's few collar-tugging flaws; President Tony Khan effectively shamed and outed AEW's social media manager, Judge Jeff Jones, for hyping up a venue announcement (Daily's Place) with the sort of 'Gabbo' hyperbole that usually heralds something far more significant.

Moreover, that this is set to be announced on Being The Elite - the self-professed "black sheep" of AEW - is cause for pause. The action figure line announcement was reserved for Dynamite, so on that basis, the video game fans are desperate to be announced feels as worthy of the national television reveal. Matt Jackson however has stated on Instagram that "We've been working on this for a very long time."

Now, that would indicate this isn't something as routine as a venue announcement, no matter how cherished the idea of a California show(s) is for the Bucks, but then, the politicised landscape has made the admin far harder than it should be. Consider how AEW arrived in Newark, and not New York.

TL;DR - it might be the AKI video game that will save pro wrestling video games forever, but it could just be a tour of the West Coast.
