During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, WWE Hall of Famer and four-time World Champion Goldberg revealed he requires shoulder surgery.

While Da Man explained to McAfee how he needs to go under the knife, he added how he won't be doing so until he decides its time to hang up his wrestling boots for good.

As Goldberg put it:

"I won't tell everybody on national radio or television that my shoulder has been destroyed for the last three years, five years, eight years. I need surgery, but I'll get it when I'm done. I'll get it when I'm finished. It's one of those things. Here's the deal, if Vince calls me tomorrow morning and says, 'Hey Goldberg, we need you in a month', what am I going to do if I get surgery, right? I'll get her done with it's time."

Most recently, Goldberg was seen butting heads with Bobby Lashley on WWE programming earlier this year. There, the former NFL star unsuccessfully challenged for Lashley's WWE Championship at SummerSlam 2021, before he was then able to defeat the All Mighty two months later at Crown Jewel.

In terms of what's next - or, y'know, who's next - for Bill, the belief is that Goldberg has one remaining match under his current WWE deal. One has to imagine WWE may have tentative plans for the WCW favourite to compete at WrestleMania 38, plus there's always the very real possibility that WWE and Goldberg come to an agreement to extend his WWE contract.
