This NXT Star Would LOVE A Match With WWE Legend Edge

Triple H recently said that Edge would love to work WWE NXT, and this guy was listening.

It's Adam Cole, bay-bay!

Triple H said on the NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day conference call that Edge will likely work some NXT matches in 2021. That prompted fans on social media to whip up mock graphics of some bouts the 'Rated-R Superstar' could have. The most popular one, by far, was Edge vs. Adam Cole.

A certain former NXT Champion was paying attention.

Cole quoted the original tweet and put a sidewards glance eye emoji on his own post. That one icon said it all - The Undisputed Era's leader would clearly love the chance to mix it in-ring with the legend at some point this year.

Fans are here for that kind of dream match too. It's one Cole likely thought he'd never be talking about, at least not seriously. Trips' words have changed the game though (pun intended), and there's now a decent shot of seeing Edge vs. Cole one-on-one in NXT in 2021.

That sounds like the kind of bout perfect for TakeOver. In fact, it's no stretch to suggest that Edge appearing on an NXT special would make it the biggest TakeOver yet.
