Three Title Matches Added To WWE Stomping Grounds

It's rematches aplenty in Tacoma.

Amidst the fun and frolics of last night's Super ShowDown show in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, WWE announced a trio of title tussles scheduled for their next PPV on home soil, the oddly, generically named Stomping Grounds.

Universal Champion Seth Rollins, who rolled-up a distracted Baron Corbin before surviving a botched Money in the Bank cash-in attempt from Brock Lesnar yesterday, will meet the former Raw Constable once more in two weeks time. Likewise, WWE Champion Kofi Kingston and Dolph Ziggler will also face off in a rematch of their Middle Eastern clash. After his defeat, an impassioned and painfully whiny Ziggler demanded he get another chance against Kingston at Stomping Grounds - this time in a steel cage. He's been granted his wish, apparently.

In the end, Alexa Bliss and Natalya weren't allowed to wrestle in Jeddah, but WWE managed to sneak a couple of women on the show, kind of, with a match graphic advertising Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch vs. Lacey Evans at the next PPV. Evans set the world alight on this past week's episode of the red brand with a spectacularly bad match opposite Charlotte Flair. Confirming her babyface credentials, Lynch mercifully put an end to the disaster, interrupting for the disqualification.

Stomping Grounds is scheduled for 23 June, from Tacoma, WA's Tacoma Dome. Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre and SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss had previously been confirmed for the show.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
