Timothy Thatcher Loses 2 Teeth In WWE NXT Fight Pit

A bloody scene played out in last night's NXT main event.

Last night's WWE NXT was main-evented by brutal Cage Fight pitting partners-turned-enemies Timothy Thatcher and Matt Riddle against each other inside the Fight Pit - a structure reminiscent of the Lion's Den used when Owen Hart fought Ken Shamrock at SummerSlam 1998.

It was a nasty, ugly battle in all the right ways, reminiscent of the snug wars of attrition these guys used to wage in EVOLVE years ago, and concluded with Thatcher choking Riddle out. The grisliest visual, however, was Thatcher losing a few of his teeth early on.

A medic examined Thatcher after a stiff shot to the mouth that saw him spit a couple of teeth to the mat. Blood poured from his maw afterwards and while Timothy was able to continue, he paid a legitimate price for his art last night.

It was a strong victory for Thatcher over one of NXT's biggest singles wrestlers, though it could be the last fans see of 'The Original Bro' on the black-and-gold brand. Riddle is reportedly bound for SmackDown and it's thought that he could show up on the FOX show as soon as this Friday evening.
