Title Match Added To AEW Double Or Nothing 2021
The AEW Double Or Nothing 2021 Buy In pre-show just got a lot more interesting.
Serena Deeb will defend her NWA Women's World Championship against Riho at AEW Double Or Nothing 2021 this Sunday (30 May), the promotion has announced.
The bout goes down on the Buy In pre-show, and was originally leaked by international Salvatore Torrisi, who posted the above image to social media ahead of schedule.
This will be the second time Riho and Deeb have wrestled this year. Their first match came as part of the AEW Women's World Title Eliminator Tournament on Dynamite's 17 February episode, with Riho overcoming Serena in a slick, well-received 15-minute match, advancing in the competition.
Both wrestlers have been largely inactive over the past few months, for different reasons. Deeb took some time away from the ring to receive treatment and recuperate from a knee injury after facing Riho, returning to beat Red Velvet on last week's episode of Dynamite, while Riho returned to her native Japan shortly after Revolution 2021 in March. Both now appear to be back on the scene.
Deeb vs. Riho is the second women's match on the Double Or Nothing lineup, with champion Hikaru Shida and Britt Baker to contest the AEW Women's World Title on the main card.
