A trio of big matches have been announced for next week's WWE NXT, highlighted by Kushida putting his Cruiserweight Championship on the line against rival Santos Escobar.

This will be a two-out-of-three falls match. It came together when Escobar and his Legado del Fantasma stable hit the ring for a promo, with Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde also requesting a shot at NXT Tag Team Champions MSK. While that bout is yet to be put together, Escobar got his wish, with Kushida appearing on the tron to issue the challenge.

NXT Champion Karrion Kross is also on next week's card, facing Austin Theory in a non-title match. Theory got into it with Kross' manager, Scarlett, early in the evening, leading to William Regal telling him, later, that Scarlett had requested Austin face Karrion next week.

Kross' in-ring segment was then cut short by Kyle O'Reilly, Pete Dunne, and Finn Balor, who brawled, allowing Theory and Johnny Gargano to put Kross down in the ring. That Gargano scored the decisive blow with his North American Championship belt suggests that him vs. Kross could be the ultimate goal.

Finally, Killian Dain will face Alexander Wolfe one on one, continuing the ongoing feud between Imperium, Dain, and Drake Maverick.
