TNA Bound For Glory 2016: Ranking Every Match From Worst To Best
2. X-Division Title: DJ Z (c) Vs. Trevor Lee
Result: DJ Z kills Lee with a Canadian Destroyer-ZDT combination to retain the title (11:10).
Rating: This was basically a totally rock solid opener that did exactly what an opener needed to do, and that's get the crowd hot for the rest of the show (even if only one match ultimately measured up to it).
Both men are great workers and have solid chemistry, so this was an easy match to like, free of gimmicks or silly build-up and just focusing on no-bulls*** athleticism at its best. Either man could've won and it would've been a satisfying result.
Given how pivotal this PPV was for TNA, they really could've done with a lot more of this.
