"TNA Is Not Going Out Of Business!" - 10 Questions With Matt Hardy

2. How did your €œStronger than Death€ slogan come about?

I think €˜Stronger than Death€™ came about for a couple of reasons. One €“ ever since I started out becoming a Hardy Boy, we were always fearless, we were always extreme, and we were always daredevils. €˜Stronger than Death€™ is something that relates to someone who has a fearless personality. As time went on, I grew more and more into who I am as Matt Hardy, as my own personal character. I€™m not truly the acrobat, I mean, I don€™t do the high spots that my brother Jeff does, but I am truly a believer that the human soul is a powerful thing, and I think that if there€™s anything in life that you want to achieve, if you truly believe and you work hard, then you can. And I think the soul does go on, even after the physical body dies. I originally heard this concept of €˜Stronger than Death€™ from Black Label Society, and I just took it and ran with it. I€™ve been involved in so many crazy wrestling matches and so many traumatic events throughout my life, and somehow I€™m still alive and I€™m still able to perform at a pretty high level in the ring, so I feel that €˜Stronger than Death€™ relates to all that.
