"TNA Is Not Going Out Of Business!" - 10 Questions With Matt Hardy

5. So is it because you now have more life experience that you think you€™d make a better heel?

Not really. The reason why I€™m smarter, and my body. After doing this for 23 years, I€™m not going to be the young, athletic guy who can do every single high spot in the book. I€™m still extremely athletic, but considering what is expected out of the younger talent in this day and age, when you look at the X-Division guys, the cruiserweight guys or any of the Ring of Honor guys and some of the stuff that they do, I can€™t wrestle a style like that on a consecutive basis. I can still go out and wrestle and tell some great stories, and still take some great chances, but I can€™t do it four or five times back to back and still be healthy. So I€™ve got to be smart about how I wrestle. From a psychology standpoint right now, I would be willing to put my psychology up against anyone€™s from a character perspective. As a bad guy, I would go out there and do the things I need to do to make you want to see the good guy whip my ass, because that€™s what a bad guy€™s job is. So many bad guys in this day and age don€™t really grasp that concept too well.
