Following reports that the Motor City Machine Guns' existing TNA deals are due to expire soon, it appears that there's been some notable changes to how TNA now handles contract extensions. At least, in some instances.

As per Fightful Select, while it's yet to be confirmed if this has been the case with Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley, TNA is now offering certain talents per-date deals rather than standard contracts. It's not known how widespread this is across the Anthem promotion, but that's the situation some wrestlers have found themselves in.

Where the Motor City Machine Guns are concerned, Fightful reached out directly to Sabin and Shelley but received no comment back. However, a TNA source told the outfit that MCMG's deals are indeed expiring this month.

Interestingly, the Motor City Machine Guns' current contracts were signed on 23 March 2023. If you presume these were one-year deals, that would mean Sabin and Shelley would be free agents by the end of this week.

Two talents synonymous with TNA Wrestling - and both former TNA World Champions, in addition to their tag team and X Division successes - it would be strange to see a TNA landscape without either Chris Sabin or Alex Shelley in it, but one has to believe the Motor City Machine Guns will have no shortage of suitors if they are planning to explore free agency.
