TNA's Lawsuit Against Scott Steiner Over Twitter Rant Goes To Trial

TNA will have their day in court over Big Poppa Pump's epic 10-day Twitter rant.

Way back in 2012, TNA filed a lawsuit against "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner seeking damages over a 10-day long Twitter rant disparaging the company. Steiner took to social media that year and attacked the company along with Hulk Hogan, his daughter Brooke, Eric Bischoff, and Bruce Pritchard among others for over a week. "Right now im trying to save TNA bcuz its the titanic and its sinking fast bcuz Hogan and Bischoff r doing the same the did to de€Same bullshit they did to destroy WCW" said Steiner in one Twitter rant. "Not sure how pritchard hogan n bitchoff convinced dixie to turn her back on the ppl who built up Tna. They cut the money for catering and we startd using paper plates n plastic.f*****g crazy!!!!" the Genetic Freak said in another. At the time of the filing of the lawsuit, TNA claimed Scott Steiner had breached a contract he signed with the company 2 years prior in 2010. TNA claimed that the contract specifically stated that Steiner was €œforbidden from making public statements, including tweeting, concerning TNA or any of its officials, wrestlers, or other individuals without prior approval.€ Furthermore, TNA also claimed that they had contacted Steiner in an effort to get him to cease releasing postings about the company but €œSteiner...ignored TNA€™s demands and...continued to breach the agreement." TNA stated in their lawsuit that they were looking to recover damages, as well as court and lawyer fees for €œirreparable harm, which cannot be adequately measured by monetary relief.€ TNA will now see their day in court with the Big Bad Booty Daddy. The two sides are currently scheduled to go before a judge on February 11th, 2016 in Nashville, TN.
