Today's WWE Raw Taping Cancelled!
But what's the fate of tonight's SmackDown?
WWE’s handling of day-to-day matters during these most testing of times has clearly been a clusterf**k of the highest order. And now, WWE plans have hit yet another bump in the road.
As per POST Wrestling’s John Pollock, today’s taping of next Monday’s Raw has been cancelled. Instead, the next offering for WWE’s red brand will be recorded tomorrow.
There’s no specifics given as to why this decision was made, although one would have to assume that the ongoing global bastard (Adam Wilbourn™) has a role to play in all of this. After all, it’s only a matter of days ago that WWE reported double-figures worth of employees had tested positive.
The original schedule was to tape tonight’s SmackDown this afternoon, with the next Raw episode to be taped after that. Tonight’s SmackDown is currently being recorded as I type, but Raw has been pushed back until tomorrow.
WWE staff underwent another batch of testing on Wednesday and Thursday, and it’s expected that the results of those tests should come back later today or tomorrow. Already, Renee Young, Kayla Braxton, and producers Adam Pearce and Jamie Noble have been confirmed to be amongst those testing positive.
