He was joined by Nigel McGuinness last night.

WWE's commentary desks have been playing an elaborate (and presumably quite cumbersome) game of musical, er, tables lately, with the nominal lead team of Michael Cole and Corey Graves crossing over to SmackDown, whilst Vic Joseph, Dio Maddin and Jerry Lawler have assumed the reins of the Raw booth.

Out of all this, poor Tom Phillips and SmackDown buddy Byron Saxton have been entirely lost in the shuffle. The good news for the former is that he's set to land back on his feet, albeit in the rarefied air of NXT UK.

Twitter user @ElliotCantor noted that the displaced blue brand man was calling affairs during an NXT UK taping in Brentwood last night, joined at the desk by usual broadcasting partner Nigel McGuinness.

Presumably this'll be a permanent gig as former NXT UK man Joseph makes the step up to Raw.

At present, there's still no news on the eventual fate of the displaced Byron Saxton.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
