AEW owner Tony Khan has confirmed Paul Wight's Dynamite claim that a big "hall of fame worthy" name is on their way to All Elite Wrestling, and will debut at this weekend's Revolution 2021 pay-per-view.

Khan said the following in conversation with Tony Schiavone and Aubrey Edwards on the AEW Unrestricted podcast yesterday:-

"[Paul Wight] told the world and it's true. There's going to be a big star who signed with AEW and he's coming here. It's absolutely true what Paul said. This Sunday, a major star in the world of wrestling - a huge star - is going to come and sign a multi-year contract with AEW at the pay-per-view. I can confirm what Paul said is true."

Khan went on, clarifying that this surprise debutant will be different from the one in the Face of the Revolution ladder match, which will see another new wrestler arriving in the company.

In addition, Khan said that "he is coming here." This would rule out Tessa Blanchard, who had been speculated.

Wight's Dynamite words have sent the rumour mill into overdrive, with names as wide-ranging as CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, and Christian. At this stage, it's extremely tough to predict, though Punk and Batista have distanced themselves from the rumours.
