With Thea Trinidad having been released by WWE last November, many have wondered whether the former Zelina Vega would eventually end up in All Elite Wrestling. And if Tony Khan gets his way, that will indeed be the case.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, AEW President Tony Khan outright confirmed that, yes, AEW is indeed interested in speaking to Trinidad about the possibility of joining the promotion. Given the time of her WWE release, Thea’s 90-day non-compete clause should either have already expired or be expiring imminently.

During his WOR appearance, Khan explained how he thought the former TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion was still under her 90-day non-compete, but that he’s eager to speak to her. To be more specific, he detailed how he’ll be reaching out to her once AEW’s ongoing eliminator tournament for the AEW Women’s Championship is finished up.

Of course, Thea Trinidad was released by WWE after opposing the company’s ban on all third party platforms, such as Twitch and Cameo.

Additionally, Tony Khan also used his Observer appearance to confirm that the current plan is for AEW to have two YouTube show and two TNT shows by the end of the year.
