Tony Khan Is "Chipping Away" At Having Major Favourite Wrestle For AEW

Could this star be about to lace up their boots for AEW?

If Tony Khan gets his way, Chris Hero will at some point lace up his boots and wrestle for All Elite Wrestling.

Hero has been working with AEW and ROH in a producer capacity for the past several weeks, and Khan's recent Twitter activity indicates he's keen to have the former Kassius Ohno wrestle his first match in over three years.

As alluded to, Chris Hero last wrestled during an April 2020 episode of NXT UK. The Ohio native would be released by WWE later that same month, but the major favourite of the independent scene has yet to compete in the three years since that WWE departure.

Despite his in-ring inactivity, Hero recently noted how he very much is not retired from the squared circle. Instead, the 43-year-old is merely waiting for the right opportunity to present itself where it pertains to wrestling again. If Tony Khan gets his way, that opportunity will be in an AEW or ROH ring...

Of course, Chris Hero has plenty of history with several AEW names, ranging from CM Punk, to Claudio Castagnoli, to Bryan Danielson, and more. In fact, Hero also recently stated how he'd love to tangle with the American Dragon one more time. It remains to be seen if that match-up will indeed ever happen again, but such an offer could certainly be one way for Tony Khan to coax Hero back into action.
