Tony Khan Reveals AEW Collision's Commentary Team

Excalibur WON'T be on AEW Collision, but here's who Tony Khan has lined up!

Tony Khan has announced that Jim Ross, Nigel McGuinness and Kevin Kelly will be the announce trio for AEW's soon-to-debut Collision TV show.

The All Elite boss tweeted out this news, and fan feedback has been generally positive thus far. Previously, JR's only role on AEW television had been working the Friday night Rampage show, but now the commentary legend has more responsibility. He must be looking forward to that challenge.

This is also the best use of McGuinness and Kelly. The pair have worked together in the past, so they're comfortable on comms, and it's likely both are excited about the thought of working with JR and getting started on Collision.

AEW's new trio, if nothing else, does differentiate it from Dynamite. There, Excalibur will continue to lead the line alongside Tony Schiavone, Taz and whomever else stops by from time to time. Being able to see a clear difference in presentation and broadcast styles between both major shows should be seen as a positive.

There's no word yet on whether or not Ross will keep working Rampage. Stay tuned for more on that!
