A recent Fightful Select fan Q&A included details of Tony Khan turning down proposals from Warner Bros Discovery on a new TV deal for ROH. According to the writeup, numbers logged by WBD didn't meet Khan's asking price for putting his offshoot Ring Of Honor brand on television.

So, Tony said no.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp said that nobody has been "willing to meet" Khan's asking price for ROH to date. Reportedly, in lieu of ROH in the same time slot, WBD will run replays of flagship AEW show Dynamite on TruTV each Friday at 10pm ET instead.

Sapp also reported that networks are unlikely to make larger offers for Ring Of Honor until it becomes a bigger creative focus for AEW boss Khan. Currently, ROH is relatively hidden away on YouTube and the bespoke HonorClub streaming outlet. It's become less of a heavy presence on core AEW programming recently too.

Tony acquired ROH in 2022 and seemed keen to grow the promotion. Initially, signs looked strong that Khan would be true to his word, but Honor has become less and less important as time has marched on. Unless that changes, then he might not get the asking price he's been looking for when shopping the brand around to TV execs.

For now, the AEW kingpin is sticking to his guns. WBD's offer was turned down flat, so it'll be interesting to see if they come in with an improved number or go cold on the idea completely.

ROH remains on HonorClub in the interim.
