No. Tony Khan is not down with the clown.

AEW referee Bryce Remsburg confirmed on the Should I Keep This? podcast that Insane Clown Posse recently reached out to the promotion about making a hometown appearance at the company's Detroit, Michigan show. Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J wanted to be part of the event, but AEW's founder and CEO politely said 'no.'

Per Remsburg (h/t Fightful):

“About a month or so ago, AEW was going to Detroit and the Insane Clown Posse, who are still a thing in 2023, maybe not in their gloriest or glory years, had reached out through an intermediary asking about being part of the AEW event in Detroit. I remember they were just trying to get on the show. I was on this corporate call, and Tony Kahn, someone was like, ‘Do we need ICP in Detroit?’ [Tony said], ‘Yeah I’ll have to think about that one.’ He was politely saying no.”

Though best known for their music career, through which they command one of the most intense and dedicated cult followings in the entire industry, ICP has a lengthy wrestling history stretching back to the backyard scene in 1983. In the wrestling space, they are best known for a three-month spell in the then-WWF in 1998, the WCW spell that followed, and for running their own group, Juggalo Championship Wrestling.

ICP's latest Gathering of the Juggalos festival attracted another five-figure crowd this July.
