With more and more fans starting to clamour for some sort of AEW streaming service, ala WWE Network or NJPW World, Tony Schiavone believes that we're going to see just such an on-demand service by the end of next year.

During a resent Ask Tony Live! session on AdFreeShows, Schiavone was asked this very question.

On whether or not he sees AEW getting a streaming service at some point in the future, (as per WrestlingNews.co) the legendary announcer responded:

"Yes, I do. I think we're going to see a streaming service. This is my thought. I don't know anything for sure. Just be talking to people, I think there's going to be a streaming service by the end of 2022."

Tony would go onto add how he's heard that AEW content will eventually become a part of the HBO Max library:

"I do know that there were people in Warner Media that I knew, that I still know, that have nothing to do with AEW, that told me, 'You know that AEW is going to part of HBO Max. I remember asking somebody in the front office, not Tony [Khan], 'Are we going to be on HBO Max?' They said, 'Yeah, until they want to come up with a lot more money'. I think we're going to end up getting our own streaming service."

Schiavone's comments follow Tony Khan saying similar things during an appearance on Rasslin' with Brandon F. Walker. There, the AEW President was asked directly about whether AEW will be getting their own streaming service, and Khan said there have indeed been those talks and that "it's going to be soon" - pointing out that AEW had, at that point, 104 episodes of Dynamite, the 'new' Rampage show, all of their PPVs, and a previously unseen special called The House Always Wins all as content that could be included in such a service.

Of course, AEW programming is currently available on-demand for those who subscribe to AEW Plus on FITE.
