Top 10 Women In WWE History

1. The Fabulous Moolah

Quite simply the most successful women's wrestler of all-time, the Fabulous Moolah had a career that spanned decades and she was world champion for most of them. People who say Lita or Trish Stratus is the best female wrestler ever have not done their homework because there is no one who can hold a candle to the Fabulous Moolah. At only 15 years old (and already a mother) in the late 1930s, Mary Lillian Ellison left home to pursue a career in professional wrestling. Given the name Slave Girl Moolah, she accompanied the legendary Buddy Rogers to the ring before breaking up the partnership due to Rogers pursuing her in a personal manner. She caused a great deal of controversy when she managed the Elephant Boy. Elephant Boy was from Mexico but appeared to be African-American, which caused a great deal of controversy when Moolah would kiss him on the cheek. A fan even attempted to stab Moolah in Oklahoma City following this act. In September 1956, Moolah defeated Judy Grable for the Women's title, holding it for ten years. She traded the title a few times in the following years but held the title for the better part of almost 30 years. Moolah's title reign will go absolutely unmatched and no wrestler can even come close to claiming success like Moolah had. Moolah even became involved in the WWF's Rock N Wrestling Connection, feuding with Wendi Richter and dropping the title to her live on MTV. When Richter refused to sign a new contract before a title defense in November 1985, Moolah (under a mask) legitimately pinned Richter and won the women's title. More than a decade before the Montreal Screwjob, Moolah forced Richter out of the WWF with the Original Screwjob. Moolah became the first female inducted in the WWF Hall of Fame in 1995 and made sporadic appearances for the company throughout the 1990s alongside Mae Young. Moolah died in 2007 at the age of 84 in South Carolina. Moolah's wrestling career spanned nearly 70 years and included every highlight a wrestler could hope for. The Fabulous Moolah is without a doubt the greatest female in wrestling history. Read more at http://whatculture.com/wwe/10-wwe-divas-posed-naked.php/10#TeUtupVbsl0qXqpj.99
