The Rock's 14 Greatest Moments Since His 2011 Return

13. A Surprise For Rusev And Lana

By the autumn of 2014 Rock wasn't really expected to be around the WWE anymore, even as a part-time entity. His Wrestlemania 30 appearance came a whole year after his previous one, and nothing was set in stone for him heading into Wrestlemania 31. Effectively, it felt like he'd fulfilled all his obligations, and with an increasingly busy filming schedule his free time was severely limited. So it came as a huge shock to the fans on the October 6th Raw of that year when he interrupted what seemed like standard run-of-the-mill promo time with Rusev and Lana. Rock whipped the Brooklyn crowd into a frenzy as he listed off all the famous hotspots he'd visited en-route to the arena before targeting his attentions to the anti-American duo, or as Rocky so eloquently described them, "A pair of world class international a-holes" before sending the big man Rusev packing to the outside with a series a well-timed rights. It wasn't the most physical of altercations overall, but it was nice to see him back amongst the nitty gritty again, almost a year and a half after he'd last laced up the boots at Wrestlemania 29.
