Top AEW Star Says He's Not Interested In "Nostalgia Hour" Feuds

You won't be seeing this AEW wrestler up against many fellow veterans.

Chris Jericho definitely isn't interested in working against many of his former WWE peers in AEW.

The Jericho Appreciation Society leader told Matt Hardy's new podcast that "f*cking nostalgia hour feuds" can get right in the bin - that includes potential rivalries with Matt himself, his brother Jeff, Christian or any other workers that Jericho has wrestled extensively elsewhere.

Ex-AEW Champion Jericho says "the key to [older stars] staying at a certain level is working with younger guys because it elevates them and elevates us too". That's why he's been so keen to wrestle the likes of Hangman Page, MJF and others throughout his AEW run to date.

Jericho also revealed that he called Matt up when he heard that Hardy might be leaving WWE. During that call, Chris told his friend that he should come to AEW and help him "build our younger stars". Preparing All Elite's future is something Jericho is extremely motivated to do, and now Matt is the same.

So, in other words, you won't be seeing that Jericho vs. Christian (from WrestleMania XX) nostalgia fest on Dynamite, Rampage or AEW pay-per-view any time soon.
