Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson's group with William Regal finally got itself a name on last night's episode of AEW Dynamite.

Danielson and Moxley defeated the Varsity Blonds on the show, tapping Brian Pillman Jr. and Griff Garrison out in tandem. Afterwards, Mox got on the microphone, saying that Regal's seal of approval was the only one that ever mattered to him in pro wrestling, putting Danielson over as a "perfect wrestler," and seemingly naming the trio the Blackpool Combat Club.

Blackpool, of course, is where Regal has been billed from for years. That Danielson and Moxley have been united under his leadership means AEW could scarcely have come up with a more appropriate name.

Last night was Danielson and Moxley's third win as a tag team, building on recent triumphs over Wheeler Yuta and Chuck Taylor and The WorkHorsemen. The duo wrestled each other at Revolution 2022, with Moxley picking up the victory, prompting Regal's official AEW debut when the former NXT General Manager showed up, slapped both of his future charges in the face, and told them to get their act together.

The Blackpool Combat Club rides on.
