Top WWE Star: "I'm Lightning In A Bottle & They Have No Idea What To Do With It" (WWE News)
Dominik Mysterio says WWE "have no idea what to do" with him.
For those hoping that Dominik Mysterio would be in action at Clash in Italy this weekend, Dirty Dom believes this is a case of WWE currently not knowing what to do with him.
Speaking to Esse Magazine (via Fightful), Mysterio was asked why we haven't heard of a match being announced for him at Clash in Italy.
As Dom put it:
"I don't think they know what to do with me. I'm too cool. They have lightning in a bottle and they have no idea what to do with it, so they're just letting it sit. I'm like you; I'm just waiting."
Elsewhere in this interview, Mysterio said he's a patient man, but that he'd be prepared to put his AAA Mega Championship on the line at Clash in Italy if asked. He also took a shot at the "old fossils" in WWE these days, namedropping John Cena, AJ Styles, Damian Priest, and, of course, Rey Mysterio as names he's picked up wins against.
It's been an up-and-down 2026 for Dominik Mysterio so far, wrestling only six times so far this year, and only in action once since WrestleMania 42, which was a street fight loss to former Judgment Day buddy Finn Balor on the 11th May edition of Raw. Of course, he also lost the Intercontinental Championship to Penta back in March, with one of Danhausen's curses having a role to play in that. Despite a lack of ring time, Dominik has been a regular presence on Raw, finding himself involved in plenty of Judgment Day shenanigans.
With the big Mask vs. Mask match between El Grande Americano and Original El Grande Americano in AAA this weekend, one has to imagine that, should El Grande Americano II get the win there, Mysterio and El Grande could be on a collision course for the Mega Championship later this summer.
