Top WWE Star Taking Time Off

This major WWE star is stepping away from the ring for a while.

Seth Rollins

Having been completely absent from last night's WWE Raw, it appears that Seth Rollins is set for a spell out of action.

Over at the Wrestling Observer, Dave Meltzer noted how Rollins is taking some time off, with the hope being that he'll be back in four weeks.

Of course, at one point it was up in the air whether Seth would be able to compete at WrestleMania XL, with him suffering a knee injury in a Raw match against Jinder Mahal back in January. The Visionary was able to get cleared in time for 'Mania, although it appears he now needs to step back to heal up. That knee injury is something that WWE has played up on TV, with the one-time Shield man actually looking a little uncomfortable in the closing moments of this year's Showcase of the Immortals as everyone celebrated with Cody Rhodes.

Night 2 WrestleMania XL saw Seth Rollins' run as the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion brought to a halt at 316 days, with Rollins defeated by Drew McIntyre in the opening match of that second night. That success was only short-lived for the Scottish Warrior, though, for Damian Priest would soon cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase to become the new World Heavyweight Champ.
