Trey Miguel Returns On Impact Wrestling

With Wes Lee and Nash Carter in WWE NXT, Trey Miguel sticks with Impact.

The speculation can finally be put to rest; Trey Miguel is with Impact Wrestling.

Miguel resurfaced in the company as the surprise partner Impact EVP Scott D'Amore had roped in for Rich Swann, Willie Mack, and Tommy Dreamer for their main event spot vs. Sami Callihan, Ken Shamrock, Chris Bey, and Moose. This marked his first appearance on Impact programming - or any promotion, for that matter - since 17 November.

That episode saw Miguel team with Swann in a winning effort over Trey's Rascalz teammates Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz in what marked the final Impact appearance for the trio. A move to WWE materialised for Xavier and Wentz (now known as MSK - Wes Lee and Nash Carter respectively) when they were announced as reporting to the Performance Center, but Miguel's absence was noteworthy.

Whether this is a full-time comeback for Miguel or not remains to be seen, but there's still a lot he could do in the company. His two-year career didn't bring a single championship reign. Joining a stacked X division, or even challenging for the World Championship again would be a solid career move for Trey right now.

WWE and AEW missed their chance with this one.
