Triple H "Quietly Demoted" By Vince McMahon?

Triple H's recent change in job title from WWE Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative to Executive Vice President of Global Talent Development and Strategy may have been a "quiet demotion" for the man long considered the heir to Vince McMahon's throne.
This is according to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He writes that 'The Game' was seemingly removed from his duties as head of talent and was now primary concern with expanding NXT's business, finding an overseas TV deal for NXT UK, and the black and gold brand's general operations. He remains a Senior Producer and creative lead for the Wednesday night show.
Brad Blum, Vince's Chief of Staff, has seemingly taken Hunter's old responsibilities on, with sources inside WWE referring to the situation as a "quiet demotion" for the prince that was promised.
Another note is that while Triple H's new job title suggests that he's involved with talent, this is no longer the case and is now under Blum's edict.
Whatever McMahon's reasoning, it's very, very surprising to think that the man long assumed to take the reins when Vince decides to step away is no longer number two.
