Triple H and Stephanie McMahon look set to miss tonight's WWE Raw, as they are currently enjoying a vacation with their children. They could always cut their family trip short, but as of this afternoon, both were tweeting images of their break. They are enjoying the tranquil surroundings of forest and lakeside, with Stephanie tweeting that "Nothing says #Summer like Ice Cream in your PJ's! Hope everyone is enjoying their #LaborDayWeekend!" https://twitter.com/StephMcMahon/status/640892491407958016 They will be a miss tonight for WWE, especially in terms of on-air performance. Like it or not, ratings do correlate with The Authority being featured. In terms of backstage, their absence really won't make too much difference. Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn will be running the show as usual, and with Sting booked, they'll be hoping it will have enough star power to pull a rating. Kane had been rumoured to be coming back, although reports never mentioned any thing about an on-air return. He was set to be backstage, but that may not even be the case any more. With Sting on the show, there's less need for Kane's involvement. Last week's Raw viewership was improved from recent terrible ratings, with Sting thought to have made a difference. However, with this a holiday weekend, WWE probably aren't going to maintain a strong viewership for tonight's show.
