Triple H On Wrestling Again: "It Seems To Bother Everyone Else More Than Me"

The Game speaks out on a potential WWE "retirement tour" that he doesn't seem too worried about.

There's a good chance that you are more invested in a potential Triple H in-ring return than the man himself.

Speaking with Peter Rosenberg and Stat Guy Greg on ESPN's Cheap Heat podcast, Triple H said that while the idea of doing a grand tour hitting famous arenas like Madison Square Garden and London's O2 Arena interests him, he isn't actively working towards it (h/t POST Wrestling for the transcriptions):-

"It’s not in the front of my head. It seems to bother everybody else more than it does me."

If he did come back, however, Triple H would prefer to work with young wrestlers rather than those he has an established history with:-

"If I was to do it in that manner and to me, the people that I’d want to do it with wouldn’t necessarily be — I wouldn’t be looking to do it with somebody that I had a long-term history with. I’d be looking to do it probably with somebody that was younger and getting rolling and I thought — doesn’t have to be younger and getting rolling but that just would be different and a different challenge and a different thought."

The Game's last sanctioned match went down on a WWE house show in Tokyo, Japan on 29 June 2019. He and Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Robert Roode and Samoa Joe that night. Hunter recently revealed that he turned down the opportunity to face AJ Styles at WrestleMania 37.

The 11 January 2021 episode of Raw saw Triple H return to fight Randy Orton, though this wasn't a recognised bout.
