Triple H's 14 Greatest WWE Title Defenses Ever

5. Hell In A Cell For The WWE Championship: Triple H Vs. Cactus Jack (No Way Out 2000)

After an intensely personal, insanely violent Street Fight at the 2000 Royal Rumble (more on that one in a bit), Triple H defended his WWE Championship against Cactus Jack one last time at No Way Out, this time in a Hell in a Cell match. The one stipulation The Game added to the match? If Jack lost, his career would come to an end. No more Hardcore Legend, no more Mankind, no more Dude Love - Mick Foley would cease wrestling for good (of as long as "for good" actually means in sports-entertainment). Bringing their legendary feud to a barbaric end, they waged war inside Hell in a Cell, both men bleeding buckets as they went at it hammer and tong. The action predictably spilled outside the cage, leading to a climactic battle atop the steel structure. There, Cactus Jack brutalized the WWE champion with a barbed wire-wrapped 2x4 (SET ON FIRE) and set him up for a piledriver. Instead, Triple H back body dropped his opponent through the roof of the cell, sending him crashing to, and through, the mat below. One Pedigree later and the champion had successfully retained his title. More importantly, he retired his greatest rival in the process, decisively winning their feud in grand fashion.
