The Ultimate Warrior: 10 Most Shocking Controversies

5. Steroids

Looking at Warrior you can see he is a freakishly muscular guy. He used steroids, he admitted it, he defended the use of them. Wrestling Observer editor Dave Meltzer has commented on the irony of Warrior, he was an absolute food fanatic who would fret over putting salt on his food, only to later go and put all sorts of dangerous supplements into his body. Was it lack of education? Perhaps, the Wrestling Observer notes that Warrior's generation never believed in doctor's warnings about steroids due to early mis-information from the American Medical Association. Warrior in fact described steroids as a good thing in interviews on FOX News after the Chris Benoit's death, he actually tried to state that doctor's didn't know what they were talking about. Ultimately he admitted that the drugs would take time off of his life, but didn't regret it, he stated there would be no Ultimate Warrior otherwise. It's a shame. What's better, a short period of fame, or growing old and seeing your family grow up? Warrior will go down as one of the most roided men of his generation, a man who controversially admitted to his belief of steroids being good.
