Ultimate Warrior: 5 Things To Forget And 5 Things To Remember

4. Crazed Promos

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXNvusFPsBQ While the Ultimate Warrior is credited for some of the most unintelligible promos in wrestling history, it was those maniacal interviews that really accentuated the character. With a man that looked the way the Ultimate Warrior did and competed with such reckless abandon the way that he did, one would expect rambling promos. They were beyond the realm of logic and that it why they were so brilliant. Chris Jericho, a fan of Warriors' growing up, once stated in the "Self Destruction" DVD release, "I don't know what he said but it sounded cool so 'yay!'" It really was as simple as that. Whether he was urging Hulk Hogan to "tear down the cockpit door" prior to their match at WrestleMania VI or welcoming fans to his world, "where nightmares are the best part of my day," Warrior was absolutely engaging when he spoke in front of the camera. It may have been incredibly difficult to understand the meaning of the promos but everyone who ever listened to one can quote at least one memorable line. That cannot be said about every legendary Superstar.
