Ultimate Warrior's 11 Losses - From Cleanest To Screwiest

2. Vs. The Nasty Boys - WWF SummerSlam Spectacular 1992

Taped for Prime Time Wrestling on the domestic SummerSlam Spectacular tour promoted to build 1992's Wembley Stadium mega-show, Randy Savage and the Ultimate Warrior built their babyface versus babyface match in what would become the traditional (and subsequently, clichéd) method.

After a miscommunication, Warrior and Savage exchanged words on the apron. It was a beautiful sight - two intense madmen puffing their chests out wearing inordinately colourful '90s gear - and the drama intensified when Savage posed to banter Warrior off. With his back to the action, Brian Knobbs smashed into the Warrior, who sent Savage tumbling to the outside.

Another fracas erupted, and Knobbs once again took advantage. Earl Hebner tried to simmer Savage down on the apron, which allowed Knobbs to nail Warrior in the face with the ring step back in the days when blunt force trauma used to cause harm.

After a checklist of tropes designed to protect the babyfaces - ref bumps, weapon shots, double team run-ins, more weapon shots - Warrior chased Ric Flair to the back to force the count-out.

All that for that.

Clean rating: Hardly as clean as a whistle, but then, Warrior didn't know much about them.
