This year's SummerSlam and the start of WWE's autumn season of PPV's will be way more important than usual. The reason for this is because the first batch of WWE Network subscriptions expire around this period. WWE can't really afford to lose any of their subscribers if they are serious about hitting a million buyers before the end of the year. They currently stand on a low-end of expectations 667k subscribers. What this means is that to retain the subscriber base they must offer some really compelling reasons to watch around the cancellation period. A shocking Undertaker return after months of silence following the streak loss could be the factor to maintain interest. Have him advertised for a return at SummerSlam where he ends up coming in and gets involved with a heel such as Orton or Batista. From that point we could see a rare Undertaker match on the B level PPV offerings in the Autumn, giving fans a special reason to keep locked into WWE's Network.
