The Undertaker's 10 Best Moments From The Attitude Era

2. VS Kane - WrestleMania 14

By now, we've seen The Undertaker and Kane square off on several occasions. They've had more memorable matches, and they've had better matches, but without their initial meeting at WrestleMania 14, none of the other matches that followed would have mattered. The build to the match, as mentioned, was tremendous. Both men, along with Paul Bearer, did a phenomenal job in getting people excited for a "Big Man VS Big Man" match, which isn't always at the forefront for most exciting things a wrestling fan can see. They had a very high bar set for them, and the fact that the match was taking place at WrestleMania only amplified things. The match itself was solid. It wasn't a five-star epic, but it set the right tone for the feud that the build had begun. Taker was wrestling with an intensity that he had been lacking for a little while, and Kane had to step up, knowing he was on a grand stage and couldn't disappoint in his highest-profile match to date. Had Kane screwed things up on that night, you have to assume the entire storyline, and the rest of his career, would have been different as a result. After a whopping three Tombstone Piledrivers, Taker was finally able to pick up the victory, but everyone knew it wouldn't be the end of their feud. It had come too far, and had taken too many twists and turns, to end after just one match.
