Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship Match Set For Next Week

The Usos' challengers aren't exactly a seasoned team, but the match should be good.

The Usos Bloodline

Fresh off their victory at Survivor Series and just weeks after setting the record for the longest WWE tag title reign, the Usos will defend their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship next week on Raw.

But rather than facing an established, deserving duo, they will wrestle Matt Riddle & Elias, a team that has had all of one tag team match - including house shows.

Riddle & Elias defeated Alpha Academy last week on Raw. Monday, they were backstage discussing the merits of continuing to team up and go after tag gold, which prompted Jimmy & Jey to stop by to put them in their place. Elias suggested they put their titles where their mouths were, and the match was made official a short time later.

No one is seriously expecting the Original Bro and the Drifter to come away with the tag titles that no one has been able to pry from the Usos in 500 days, but could we at least have challengers who have existed as a team for longer than two weeks? That seems like a pretty low bar to clear.

Regardless, Riddle and the Usos should be capable of pulling together a really nice match, and Elias showed he can be a tag guy during his Ezekiel phase.
