All Elite Wrestling may be eyeing a return to New York City's Arthur Ashe Stadium in a year's time, but the building would likely welcome them back sooner than that.

This is the word of PWInsider's Mike Johnson. Reporting in the aftermath of last week's well-received Grand Slam event at the tennis stadium, he noted talk of AEW potentially returning for another round of tapings in a year so, though people at Arthur Ashe would be "thrilled" to have the promotion come back earlier.

A similar report from EWrestlingNews.com's Ryan Clark states that Arthur Ashe officials were happy with how the Grand Slam shows went down and "can't wait" for AEW to return.

Highlighted by the acclaimed Bryan Danielson vs. Kenny Omega match, last week's tapings went down on 22 September, with AEW capturing footage for that night's Dynamite, the Friday episode of Rampage, and tonight's Dark: Elevation show. As well as Danielson and Omega, CM Punk, Adam Cole, The Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes, and more of AEW's biggest stars featured in the building.

Grand Slam was AEW's New York City debut. A sellout 20,177 attendance was announced on the night, with the promotion making over $1 million gross in ticket and merchandise sales.
