Malakai Black might be done with All Elite Wrestling for the time being, but the same can't be said for his stable, House Of Black.

News that Malakai had been granted a conditional release from his AEW contract broke last week. This followed reports that AEW had previously denied such a request and the telling events of All Out 2022, where Black appeared to bid the live crowd a farewell. There is currently no word on what, exactly, the conditions of Black's AEW departure entail.

Understandable questions on House Of Black's future followed. But even though Malakai built the stable in his own creative image, Julia Hart, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews look set to continue.

Dave Meltzer confirmed yesterday that Matthews and King will now be working as a tag team:-

Previously, Black and King had formed the House's core tag team, working as Kings Of The Black Throne. Filmed last week, King and Matthews, accompanied by Hart, defeated two enhancement talents on Monday's episode of Dark: Elevation.

All Elite Wrestling filed a trademark application for "House Of Black" with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on 8 September.
