Conspicuous by his absence from this week's episode of WWE Raw was The Miz, who was supposed to face partner-turned-enemy John Morrison one-on-one on the show but ended up not appearing.

This was covered in a backstage segment. Morrison claimed that Miz had "gone back to Hollywood", hence why their match couldn't happen, leading to Omos being installed as a replacement opponent. John ended up losing that bout in around two minutes.

Per PWInsider's Mike Johnson, Miz wasn't backstage at the Raw tapings at all. While there's no word on why, exactly, Miz was absent, there was no sign of him in the building.

Miz turned on Morrison during last week's Raw, pulling the trigger after losing to Xavier Woods due to John's failed interference. Despite this, Morrison was largely playing the same character on television this week, drip stick and all.

There is currently no indication that Miz will be gone for longer than one show - or if he'll be back on television next week. The Extreme Rules 2021 pay-per-view on Sunday 26 September may now make sense for him and Morrison's singles match.
